Scriptures: Worldliness and Temptation

Matthew 26
41. Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

John 3
14. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness [to save those who had been bitten by the serpents of fire], even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For God sent not his Son in to the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

1 Corinthians 10
13. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Hebrews 4
15. For we have not an high priest [Jesus] which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
