Expanded Universe: Casting Call

Anakin Solo played by Ryan Merriman

The youngest son of Han Solo and Princess Leia, Anakin is as strong in the Force as his grandfather and namesake, Anakin Skywalker (AKA Darth Vader). Determined not to repeat the mistakes of the infamous Darth Vader, he is fiercely determined to be the ideal Jedi Knight and to defend the forces of light. Graduating shortly before the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, he was quickly thrust into the conflict and quickly became the Jedi's best warrior against them. Having killed more Vong in single combat than any other Jedi, Anakin has earned a noble reputation among the Jedi. Sometimes brash and often at odds with his philosophical brother, he feels that the Force is simply a tool used by the Jedi to enforce justice and order. Confident in his abilities and cool under pressure, Anakin is considered by many as a Jedi Knight who will go down in history.

Garm Bel Iblis played by Sean Connery

A gentlemanly Corellian statesman who opposed Palpatine's rise to power, Garm Bel Iblis didn't place much stock in the rebellion against the Empire until his pro-Imperial wife was killed in a bombing meant for him. Believed dead by Imperial intelligence, he joined with Mon Mothma and Bail Organa to form the Alliance and combat the Empire. Disagreeing with the propaganda tactics of Mothma, he soon left to wage his own personal war against the Empire, and formed a pirate group which scourged Imperial space lanes. He was later convinced to join the New Republic by fellow Corelllian Han solo, and brought his excellent leadership skills and eloquent style to the fledgling government. With the confidence and patience of age, Bel Iblis is one of the Republic's greatest assets in battle.

 Guri played by Hudson Leick

Guri is a one-of-a-kind human replica droid built to custom specifications for Prince Xizor of Black Sun. She is designed to emulate the human body as closely as possible, her internal structure and synthetic organs designed to fool any scan. Programmed as an assassin and administrator, Guri acted as both while under Xizor's employ. In fact, her very first order from Xizor was to kill her designer during the operational demonstration. She then began to control the day-to-day operations of Black Sun, and usually acted as Xizor's top intelligence agent. After the death of Xizor, she fled to the Outer Rim and later began to search for the slicer who programmed her consciousness in hopes of escaping her restrictive programming. The operation successful, she is now closer to being human than possibly any other droid in the known galaxy.

Jaina Solo played by Lacey Chabert

The daughter of Han Solo and Princess Leia combines her father's piloting skills and brashness with her mother's beauty. Strong in the Force like her siblings, Jaina is also one of the galaxy's best pilots. Serious and suprisingly mature for her age, Jaina places emphasis on discipline and responsibility. She often resents her mother for neglecting her Jedi training, and is often at odds with both of her brothers as they debate over the nature of the Force. A member of Rogue Squadron until an accident and anti-Jedi sentiments forced her to take an extended leave, Jaina tends to devote her time to Jedi studies and the constant drive to perfect her own abilities. This discipline will be needed, as a recent personal tragedy now sends her plummeting dangerously towards the dark side of the Force.

Joruus C'baoth played by Donald Sutherland

After the destruction of the Outbound Flight Project, Emperor Palpatine cloned the Jedi Master named Jorus C'baoth. The resulting clone, called Joruus, had all the powers of the original but was infused with the dark side. Although the experiment was considered a success, it soon became clear that the clone was insane. To restrict the damage, Palpatine placed Joruus and one other such clone as the guardians of his vault on the planet Wayland. Joruus, in his madness, killed the other dark Jedi and sought to rule Wayland as monarch. When Thrawn began his campaign against the New Republic, he enlisted Joruus's assistance in order to obtain the cloning technology contained on Wayland. Prone to unpredictable mood swings, the insane Joruus is arrogant and believes himself as the sole heir to Palpatine's legacy.

Mara Jade played by Mira Sorvino

Raised to serve the Emperor as his "Hand", Mara Jade was one of the Empire's best-kept secrets. Possessing the skills of an intelligence agent, assassin, and Jedi, her life was devastated when Palpatine was killed. She later joined the organization of Talon Karrde as his second-in-command and maintained the position until becoming a full-time Jedi. Although the Emperor's final mental suggestion gave her a desire to kill Luke Skywalker, the two later fell in love and were married. Confident and graceful, Mara also has a temper to match her ferocity in battle. Now a Jedi Master, she assists her husband in leading the Jedi Order.

Talon Karrde played by Robert Deniro

As the best information broker in the galaxy and leader of its largest smuggling operation, Karrde is a busy man. Somewhat of a swash-buckling persona, he delights in being able to have the upper hand in most situations. Reliable and as honorable as one can be in his business, Karrde has helped the Alliance on more than one occasion but also understands the importance of a neutral party. To this end, he often also does business with the Empire as well and helps the two governments to trust each other somewhat. In any role as negotiator, he exudes confidence and arrogance as only a master sabacc player can.

 Thrawn played by Jeremy Irons

The only alien to ever join the ranks of the Empire, Thrawn immediately caught the attention of the Emperor with his tactical genius. Given the best training that the Empire had to offer, Thrawn quickly reached the rank of Grand Admiral, one of only twelve individuals to reach the rank. Exiled to the Unknown Regions for a rare error in judgement, Thrawn returned after the death of the Emperor and nearly brought the New Republic to its knees. Possessing an uncanny ability to predict the actions of his enemy, Thrawn had no equal in military tactics. A refined and cultured being, Thrawn often devised a civilization's military stance by studying its art. Leading a united Empire, he would have defeated the heroes of the Alliance if not betrayed by his Noghri bodyguard. Always an avid admirer of the fine arts in general, Thrawn's last words were used to express admiration at the grace with which he had been assassinated.

Booster Terrik played by Brian Blessed

A large and gruff man, Booster is a wealthy information broker. In his younger days, Booster engaged in light smuggling and racketeering schemes. During one of these, he was caught by CorSec agent Hal Horn. Years later, he would be enraged to learn that his only daughter, Mirax, has fallen in love with and married Hal's son Corran. Despite his initial disdain for Corran, Booster is a fairly likeable fellow. He doesn't give his loyalty easily, but is unshakeable once he does. He is widely known for his Star Destroyer, the Errant Venture, which he has had painted bright red. Running his information business from this flying fortress, Booster is considered a friend of the Jedi and has helped them on numerous occasions.

Mirax Terrik Horn played by Marisa Tomei

Mirax Terrik is a tough young lady with street savvy and a sharp tongue. Raised in the rough-and-tumble world of smuggling and information brokering, she ended up using her superb piloting skills to assist Rogue Squadron on a mission for the Alliance. When invited to join the squadron, she met her future husband, Corran Horn. Although duties often kept the two apart, they eventually married and had two children. Mirax is now working with her father Booster in his information brokering business. She frequently assists New Republic Intelligence and is considered among their top agents. Like her father, Mirax's durasteel exterior hides a heart of gold, a side of her that only family and close friends ever see.
