This site is intended as a tribute to one of the world's first true "personal computers" - the Commodore 64. Released in 1982, the C64 revolutionized the computer industry with the concept of the mass-marketed, "affordable" home computer.

Unlike the MITS Altair (which had to be assembled by the consumer) or the Apple ][ (which was mass-produced but still too expensive for most households), the C64 was mass-produced, relatively affordable, and ready to use out of the box (well, once a few cables were connected). The C64 introduced many people to the world of computers, including myself.

Join me now as we take a look at what made the Commodore so successful, why it had such a powerful impact on the way we view computers, and why it is enjoyed even today.
